Rushford | Meriden

Rushford at Meriden offers a variety of outpatient programs and services to address issues of related to mental health and substance use disorders.

For adults (age 18 and older), Rushford at Meriden offers clinical services for those needing behavioral health and addiction recovery care in an outpatient setting. Rushford is the local mental health authority for Meriden and Wallingford, as designated by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, providing crisis intervention to those towns.

For adolescents (age 13-17), Rushford at Meriden provides a five-day- a-week after school outpatient program. It is open to male and female adolescents with mental health or substance use problems. The focus of the program is to develop coping and stress management skills in order to promote stabilization and decrease in symptoms. All adolescent services are based in the Seven Challenges® program, a proven approach that addresses teens' mental health and substance use issues.

Rushford's Medication Assisted Treatment Close to Home (MATCH)  is available in our Meriden location to anyone age 16 or older. This program combines group therapy for those addicted to prescription painkillers or heroin with buprenorphine (Suboxone®), a prescription medication to help achieve and maintain recovery.  

Rushford at Meriden also provides outpatient mental health and addiction services in Spanish through its Latino Services program.

    The Durham location houses the Rushford Academy program. Residential substance use and addiction programs. Continued Secondary education assistance provided.

  • Middletown

    Inpatient and substance us and addiction treatment programs for adult men and women.

  • Meriden

    Comprehensive behavioral health treatment, substance use and addiction treatment and prevention programs for all ages. Community support services for adults. Latino outreach and services in both Spanish and English.

  • Glastonbury

    Intensive outpatient substance use and addiction treatment programs for adolescents and adults.
