The Durham location houses Rushford Academy offering residential substance use and addiction treatment programs for teens age 13-18.
Throughout the Durham campus, our staff works to engage resistant teenagers by focusing on their individual strengths and challenges.
Our therapeutic model incorporates:
- 12-step recovery orientation and programming.
- The Seven Challenges Program® a proven approach that addresses teens' mental health and substance use issues.
- A holistic treatment approach that incorporates physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being.
Family involvement is an integral component of the program as addiction affects each member within the family system. Academic programming includes individualized tutoring and coordination with the student's school. Onsite sports and physical education opportunities are also available.
Rushford Academy offers six-month residential treatment only by referral from the Connecticut Department of Children & Families.
